The goal of Active School Travel planning is to minimize safety concerns and barriers to choosing active modes of travel. Initiatives are not designed to make driving easier for some parents. Less cars do not equal more opportunity to drive, rather less cars result in a safer school environment where students feel educated and encouraged to choose active modes of travel daily.
